Strawberry Crumble Day 2: Post Refrigeration

Seeing as a 4.0 earthquake can't get me out of bed in the morning, I was surprised at my own eagerness this morning when I realized I needed to wake up and check on my cobbler.

I don't know why I thought maybe the refrigerator would perform some sort of Cinderella-voodoo on my cobbler and magically turn it into something Betty Crocker wouldn't contemplate suicide over , but it didn't. The dessert is however, a lot more solidified and I think it is definitely better than yesterday. The coolness also gives it a better taste in my opinion.

After sharing a few more slices with the family, I packed up my dessert and brought it over to work. What with the pouring (URGHGHSJK) rain, I felt very Mary Poppins-esque under my tiny umbrella hauling my giant bag of dessert to work.

Yep, just like that.

So far, I've distributed the cobbler to three of my co-workers. The Grad Student was surprisingly a fan. And he knows how to tell me how it is, which is a quality I actually really appreciate about him. So if he is telling me he really likes the cobbler, then I say give me a pat on the back and a gold star. This also tells me that the Grad Student is quite the sweet tooth himself, because that cobbler is extremely sugary.

 Much more dessert looking, no?

 joyous solidification!
